powerchips?

Has anyone used the powerchips new flash cable and software? Was it user friendly? Worth the mega bucks? Thanks

You should go down to Gintani and get the car flashed there with the powerchips. Its fast and reliable

What do you mean by mega bucks? Are you looking at buying the actual CMD flash unit? It's pretty much a dealer only tool as it has a lot of protection mechanisms in place to prevent unlimited usage of the unit...

I've used the Powerchip supplied software and CMD flash unit, easy enough to use, writing to the ECU is actually faster (~1 minute) than reading (~2 minutes)...only gotcha is you need an Internet connection on your laptop when you write to the ECU...

I did the Powerchip flash a few weeks ago. It's easy to do and the guys are good to work with.

It was definitely worth it for me.

I don't see the point of buying the cable unless it has diagnostic capability, and I couldn't see any mention of this...

I guess it would be useful if you want to start reselling Powerchip tunes or something, but otherwise that's a lot of money for something you'll only use once or twice. Though if you could use it to re-flash your car back to stock on demand that would be kind of cool.
