Thanks for the responses guys. I can totally relate to your thinking. It's tough each day to hold off calling up the dealer and ordering a factory fresh '13. I'm sure the I6TT will be great, but it won't release in coupe form for at least 2 years and, as you say, that will be the first model year which I also traditionally avoid.

Basically I signed up to this site to gather info on the F82 for the wife, but you swines have got me thinking how nice it would be to have another (comp pkg this time) E92

Congrats again on your stunning '13s

I too signed up here to learn about the F82, but once I test drove an E92, I was sold

I think it has been closer to 38 years of N/A engines, Julie. The first time ///M ever used supercharging/turbocharging was in 2010, and the division was founded in May, 1972.

All you wanted to know about ///M, but were afraid to ask.

It is a Wikipedia link, so I could just end up looking like an idiot

NoM3ForMe,

Thanks for the link, I hadn't read that one yet. I was referring specifically to the M3 which (according to Wikipedia - I'd be just as much of an idiot ), started production in 1985. So a little over a quarter century.

my view is that why torture yourself and hold out now when you can start enjoying E92 now and always still have the option to add or switch to F82 down the road.

+1

I also believe the F82 will be better all-around but let's enjoy in the E9x now. If it is really that good, wait until the refresh version is out. I suspect, like the current version, there will be a comp pkg or similar. Also this way you avoid the first wave of "I must have it" and pay MSRP.

I am back-n-forth on whether to lease or buy and will decide a couple of months before the car arrives.

Also, don't forget all the cars have bugs that need to be fixed when they first come out. I'd always rather wait a year or two when a model comes out so all the problems are fixed by then.

BTW, I will also be joining the Class of 2013 in less than 2 weeks!

I agree with waiting until the "bugs" are worked out. Even the best manufacturers have some.

2 weeks....I suspect that it will seem like a month. I have 7 months to go. Why, I don't want the car until after the winter. Otherwise it would sit in storage.

I finally wrote up my Euro Delivery trip around picking up the '13 M3. It's over in the photo's section.
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...0#post12687040

Hope you guys enjoy. I can't wait to do it again, but hopefully on a 2 week trip instead of 1 week.

I'll kick off the thread. Unfortunately, not many pictures yet as I didn't have time to drive nor take enough pictures of her today.

Compared to our Monaco Blue 335i Coupe:

p.s. I will add more pictures of the Azurite when I get a chance to photograph her in the sun, and under different lighting conditions. In short, it is very similar to Carbon Black, except the blue pigments are more sparkly. And the color can change from dark blue to black to dark blue again, even under the sunlight.

Examples of the fluctuations under sunlight (from the 'net):

Black:

Blue:

The sparkle in the blue:

Also, will post pics of the interior after I detail it (asked the dealership not to detail the interior, as I wanted to do it myself)

Initial impressions:

OMG, I am in LOVE!!! She is PERFECT!!!

I am having a hard time keeping it below 5500 rpm
Julie - Congrats on an amazing car! Your e92M looks stunning at every angle. Enjoy!!!

We should definitely start an Azurite S34 thread!

I got the performance spoiler and the black kidneys from Tischer.

When I first ordered the car I ordered it with performance splitters, spoiler, and kidneys to be port installed, thinking that it would be put on at the factory. Since I am doing euro delivery I thought it'd be worth the premium to have all those parts on my car for when I do my photoshoot in Europe. Then I realized port installed meant that it would be installed once it reaches the port in the states. So I was like screw it I'll just order it from Tischer and save like a few hundred dollars.
