Tooling = mold and master part. Its actually a harder part to make due to the thinner fin design. This is also about 5 or 6 piece mold. We have been working with a number of suppliers in motorsports to try and get them back into production and up to our standards after a previous one dropped the ball on us. Its been frustrating, but we are doing our best to get them back in production as we know how many customers love the design.

So you aren't making them yourselves. That's obviously one issue.

The one shown in this thread is the "sport" model which had not yet added to the Challenge site. The Race model is what you see online currently. 2 different models.

That is what I thought, but wanted to make sure. They look almost the same, but I am sure there are differences, hence 2 diff models.

What are the differences in this case?

I am planning on ordering a Challenge Rear diffuser, but after seeing the Sport one in this thread, and seeing the other on Challenges and iND site...they both look good...but sport isnt avail yet...

Thanks!

+1, normally I'd be a fan of all things 'Race' but in this case the Sport is so beautiful.

Please tell us the differences, also any installed pics of the Race version?

IMO this is the biggest different between the Sport (top picture) and the Race (bottom picture)

Notice the angles in which the Sport fins terminate into the underbody of the car versus the Race. The Sport version is very smooth while the Race has a sharp termination angle and does not flow smoothly into the underbody of the car.

Agree- That is why I loved the Sport Diffuser as soon as I saw it. Also, the Race diffuser would have shrouded my Akra tips completely.

Here is the original thread on the Sport Diffuser-

Thanks, pictures says it all!

Dang, now I wish Challenge will have the Sport diffuser back, and hopefully soon...will have to hold of now in that case!

Why do you think that is an issue? As an example, a lot of high quality wheels are made by MHT, and you can contract companies like Supersprint to mass produce your exhaust. I don't see any issue as long as quality is controlled which I've always heard Challenge does very well.
