Finally shes mine e90 M3!!

Hey guys newbie here just wanted to share my 2009 e90 m3.

After hitting my head against the wall between a c63 and a m3 i decided to get this baby. A 2009 6 speed e90 m3 sedan alpine white with black interior cf trim and nav. This will be my fun DD from now on.

Here is my little review: Well i cant really compare it to my EVO X because they are two different animals. My evo is a lot faster and handles a lot better but its because its heavily modified. I cant remember what a stock evo drives and handles like.

N-ways,

Interior / Exterior quality is top notch no rattles other than the stupid bmw door seal squeaks. I-drive is a bitch and i still cant understand the nav i guess i have some studying to do with the manual.

Power: The car has balls, torque is ok but top end is where this baby shines. It seems the car gets better and better with the higher gears & revs. I dont understand the POWER button which supposedly gives the car a few more ponies and stiffens throttle response. Honestly bmw should have never made an off switch for this function i love driving it with the power button on all the time.

Drivetrain: LSD is baller, the car is so easy to drift yet corrects it self when out of control. Its funny it actually makes you think its awd for a sec or two. Tranny is tits, all gears go in smoothly. My only complain with all manual bmws is the loud clicking noise when engaging gears, some like it others like me dont.

Suspension: OMG this is where this car shines, the ride is so smooth when in comfort mode yet feels like a beast when in super sport mode. Just as an example when i would pull into the hotel in houston the incline was sideways and a little steep, when in comfort mode all tires touched the ground as the car was going up. When i activated super sport mode the magnetic suspension stiffens up so much that when going up the same incline the right rear tire would lift of the ground a bit.

A few more pics at the car wash.

BTW what do you guys think of the tint i had it done at the dealer where i bought it from its 35% all around is it too dark?

A few more:

Its gonna be my daily driver so im prob just going to do some bolt ons. What is a good medium sounded exhaust for this car? What is the best intake and ecu upgrade? I also feel the gears are to apart who makes the best short shifter kit.

Bonus pics of the evo excuse the quality i need to go do a decent photoshoot with my dslr.

Thanks for the comments guys i have some more questions for you guys.

1- Will a coupe exhaust fit the sedan?
2- My car did not come with an ipod integration kit can i still purchase one?
3- Any experience with the giac software?
4- I found a dinan dealer in austin texas its a dealership can they flash my car with a dinan map? Or will they only have performance parts because they are a bmw stealership?
5- Whats the best intake?
6- Are there more oem shift knobs than just leather? i hate the stock leather ones.

I cant wait any longer to start modding even though shes gonna be my daily lol.

I can answer a few of your questions:
1. Some exhausts have adjustable tips which will let you fit on either e90/92. If not you might have to do some cutting I think.
2. That's weird you don't have the iPod/USB adapter option. I thought all of them would come with it. But yes you can buy a retrofit kit. I think Eas has a kit so just pm one of their representatives.
4. If it is a Dinan certified dealer then they will sell Dinan parts and do installs, not just sell performance BMW parts.
5. Not really sure but k&n?
6.yes there are. Check getbmwparts.com for the performance shift knob which is alcantara.
Congrats on the car and the tint looks perfect to me. Any scratching?

It's supposed to come with the y-cable that connects to your iPod through USB and aux allowing integration into your nav screen

also for number 6. take a look at the ZHP shift knob from getbmwparts.com I have it on my car and it is awesome. Shorter than stock and not rubbery like stock.
