Dont do it man. I lasted 6 weeks before I sold mine. Paid $16,200 new, sold it for $13,000. They take a beating. Thought it would be funny and cool. When you realize that people are laughing at you, not with you, your buzz dies quickly.

Also, have you ever seen one of those things in an accident. Pretty much your only chance at survival at high speeds is making it out the door before impact. I saw one smashed between to semi's, pretty much what was left was as thick as a motorcycle. Buy a larger cheap car, Hyundai would be better, use the difference twords gas and call it a day. Or get a prius, still small, but much safer. I get about 50mpg on my DD prius.

I'm pretty sure a M3 on the receiving end of that treatment wouldn't do much better.

Most cars get smashed pretty bad between two semis. Nothing that gets good fuel mileage will survive being smashed between two semis.

Pretty stupid statement.

And people die in cars like BMWs and Mercedes at high speeds, as well.

I saw the Fifth Gear crash test of a Smart into a concrete barrier at 70 mph. Pretty impresive, actually, considering NHTSA and the like only test to 35 mph.

And they don't meet modern safety standards, and take up more room for parking.

People bitch and moan about consumers buying more car than they need to commute in, like SUVs with only one person in them on the daily commute, but let a car come to market that is ONLY as big as one or two people need to commute in, and you bitch that it's too small.

If it's not for you, don't buy one, but jesus stop being such idiots about things that aren't ideal for your personal situation.

They would still probably do better in an accident than a Smart Car.
