SOLD - Cobalt Friction brake pads for E90/92 M3 - NEW

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:

---Pads are SOLD. Thanks!---

I have a spare set of new Cobalt Friction brake pads for BMW E90/92 M3. XR1 front pads, XR3 rear pads.

Great setup for the car; we used this setup last year for the One Lap, but ended up switching from stock calipers to Stoptech calipers, so now I have these extras pads.

Front is stock shape D918, rear is the optimized pad GA919 (hole for pad wear sensor removed).

$525 for set shipped anywhere in US via USPS priority. Paypal or check accepted.

you can PM me on here, but I'd prefer email me at my hotmail.com account. benschaut@h......

bump -

Awesome track-day pads.

There is a good chance I'll be at Autobahn (Joliet, IL) July 2-3 for a SCCA race. I could bring them along if someone interested will be there.

They are indeed some kick ass pads. I used Cobalts on my E36 M3 and they were by far the best track pad I ever had. If I was going to get back into track mode, I would definately be buying these.

GLWS!

How are these for dual duty? Aggressive on the rotors?

These are meant to be track pads, and even though the Cobalts are kinder to rotors than many track pads, the wear is accelerated when run on the street.

There is no real dual-purpose street/track pad. You'll either get quicker wear and noise on the street or a pad that goes away quickly when pushed on the track. Best thing to do is get some decent street/sport pads and a set of track pads.

All that being said, we ran these exact pads 2 years ago for the One Lap. 1 week, ~4000 miles, 2 track sessions per day, and the rest transit driving street/highway. We ran the Cobalts the entire week, minimal rotor wear and had good pad life left.

^Yes I do, Dave - give me a call or shoot me a message.

I think you'll like these much better than the PFCs - not quite as grabby at initial brake and better modulation (at least based on my experience with our car)
