SpecC Detailed : Two black E92 335i's.. One with a twist

Car wasn't really bad. He asked for a one step, so I used 106FF and a green pad.

It was obviously babied! I took one piece of clay bar and hit everything with it. Scroll down and there's a picture of what one side looked like when I was done. I was pretty amazed! Everything was very clean about this car except the swirls which black cars are cursed with.

Materials

Wash & Dry
CG CWG
Grit Guard
Waffle weave drying towel

Clay
CG Clay Bar
Clear Kote Quik Shine as lube
All purpose microfiber towel

Engine Bay
CG Grime Reaper 5:1 dilution
Costco MF

Glass
Stoner's invisible glass
All purpose microfiber towels
FK #425 - stoner's streaks a bit, so this cleans it up

Paint correction
Menzerna 106FF via Green Pad
All purpose microfiber towel
50/50 Isopropyl/water mixture
Finish Kare #425 quick detailer

Tools
Hitachi rotary polisher
3M backing plate - again, this thing kicks ass
250w something halogen light

Protection & LSP
CG Jetseal 109
CG 50/50 wax
FK #425
All purpose microfiber towel

Trim and exhaust
CG metal polish

Wheels and Tires
EZ Detail brush
Swissvax Wheel brush
P21S wheel gel
P21S total auto wash
CG CWG (I'll explain the need for all these products later)
Swissvax Pneu
Jetseal 109

What I did to wash the wheels and tires first was soak them in P21S wheel gel, but that dried up pretty quickly. So as I was letting it soak, I'd mist it with water now and then, but after a while, I felt there wasn't enough product in there anymore. By that time, it had degreased enough that I could just wash the rest with CG CWG. P21S total auto wash was for the tires. I feel it does a better job degreasing later for tire shine.

that is a really long write up... here's the pictures

Go wheel gel!

clean clay!

After polish, I realized this car had some awful orange peel...

I got bored.

Engine bay wasn't very dirty to begin with, so I cheated.. kind of.

All that, and I'm still not done with my collection!

After LSP

Hello, FMINUS

Enjoy! I apologize for the blurry pictures. It was late, and he was picking up the car as I was snapping the last pictures.

Before pictures, the paint correction process was go over everything with SIP and orange then everything again with 106FF in white. The trunk was had a clear bra over the entire thing so I just went over that once with 106FF on black. Yes, this did take forever, and black... is awesome

There are no before pictures since it was pretty clean anyway. Let's just start with the heavy stuff!

Man, this dude washes his cars with rocks!

This is a pretty nasty scuff that he got just out of nowhere. I'll update this one later!

and he is ready to start!

Did I mention that this thing is awesome?

passed with SIP and 106FF

after one pass of SIP

update on the previous scuff

it's a party when ironic's car is here!

Engine bay after clean up. No dressing. I'll get some eventually...

What if ironic went blue....?

My friends went ahead and did that while they were bored.

After LSP

Sorry, but I forgot to tell him to take some pictures of the rear too. Here's a link to the photoshoot thread if you have not already seen it

Talking

Wow, that makes me wish I got Jerez Black. We didn't get it because it had all those swirls.
