Cool Video: M3 Roadtrip in the Alps. 50+ Min M3 Review and Alps Tour

Here's a video review by the guys at Flatoutproject, featuring three M3s being run and reviewed in the Alps, along with some scenic stops along the way.

Enjoy:

M3 in the Alps

I've driven the French Alps a couple of times in the M3...in fact, just came back from skiing near the Italian border (Dunlop M3 winter tires worked great in the cold/ice, no snow, so didn't even need the backup snow chains). There are great roads and wonderful switchbacks (which in winter become some excellent ski runs...funny to hit the same apex on a pair of skis). The DCT is fantastic for those brief straights where you need to pass 2-3 slow moving cars/vans in a single leap.

If you have passenger, make sure to bring motion sickness tablets. You and they will enjoy the drive more that way!

I did it a couple of years ago in the 335 Del and would love to do it again in the M3. Unfortunately i'll be away for a fair bit of this year and by the time i get back the weather will be turning so hopefully next year if i keep the car.

Thanks for sharing! would love to drive the M3 on roads like that! I could almost feel the joy of driving the M3 on these twisty roads while watching the video!

I was surprised the euro videos had sunny skies. Seems like any videos that come from europe, it's almost always raining. Even on Top Gear, it's rare when they do a shoot with dry roads/test course. Guess it's normal weather for that area.

I haven't posted here yet (but have been going through many threads). I am expecting my M3 to be delivered in ~2 weeks and this was exactly what I needed for the weekend! Thank you!

the only problem with it is when the guy talks about the vents in the corner of the front bumper and says it's there to cool the brakes. that's just plain wrong, the driver's side is part of the air intake and the passenger side is to cool the transmission oil (feel free to correct me, I'm not 100% sure on than one)

I wish there was already brake cooling on our cars!
