How does the spacing on the exhaust tips look? From the previous pictures, the gap between the left side tips looked to be greater than the gap between the right side tips. Is this the case on the final version?

Congrats on them finally getting you straight! But I thought those tips were supposed to be angled?

the exhaust comes with adjustable tips that mounts on the tubing extending from the muffler.

Guys,

The tips on that system are not installed. The adjustable tips slip over that portion that you see there. The end result is this:

I hope the final product is better than the delivery time - ordered mid Mar and still waiting. I've been getting mine shipped out every week for the last month and a half.

I think they are really cranking out the units now, so shouldn't be long before you get yours.

i just got finish installing my RE SSK which i LOVE as well as the riss exhaust.

1st the distance between the two pipes where you mount the adjustable tips are not the same from left to right, not really noticeable unless you measure as i did.

Also the exhaust is loud. very loud. how loud? i can't use my bluetooth anymore loud. videos don't do justice as it has a hard time picking up low freq noise.

The exhaust does drone ( as does the stock and every other exhaust) @ certain rpms. From my 25 mile test drive of city / hwy it seems to be from 2500~3500. So options are live w/ it or shift or coast in N. it actually quiets down a lot after 4500+ and then the engine takes over .

I probably won't be getting an x-pipe as i can't imagine it louder than what it is now.

On WOT the car sounds awesome and at idle it has a nice hum from the outside. imo, sounds better from outside than in the cabin.

As for the install they forgot to send me bolts which ties the left and right exhaust together but it usps messed up and i didn't get it today.

During install I noticed the bolt on the adjustable tips are steel and not SS so they might rust over time. I made a quick trip to lowes to pick up a SS 5/16 washer, bolts and nuts to finish up the install.

FYI this is picture is missing the cross bar that connects both exhaust.

I 'll post pics tomorrow as its 8:30 now and raining.

did i tell you i love the RE SSK!

The bolts they forgot to send, is that something else you can go to the hardware store, to source yourself, and complete the install?

Also, I think it is (unfortunately) very noticeable... the difference in left side tip spacing, compared to the right side. Do you think you could pull off the tips... and use a pliers of some sort, to 'squeeze' them a bit closer together?

You say it's too loud to use your Bluetooth? And you still have all factory Cats & Resonators? I have the RPI Section 1 & 2 off road pipes... and my Riss Racing comes in on Monday (According to UPS)... so I can't imagine what it may sound like!

I'll try to do install Monday Night, Do some Video's Tuesday... and Dyno Wednesday... if everything goes well!

Nova, please let me know about the hardware sourcing, if it's something we can do our selves for the cross brace etc...

Thanks,
Dave

yes you can get the parts from homedepot/lowes.

I just went for another 45 mile drive from va to md on the highway , got stuck in traffic and then took some back roads with 25mph speed limit and about 15 speed bumps .

This exhaust is really boomy, and there is drone from 1500+ ~ 3800. Even if you let off the gas there is drone and boomyness. there is so much low level drone i can feel it in the gas pedal each time i gas or let off.
