Splitting a performance seat?

Decided I would like to get my bmw perf seats re trimmed in bmw cinnamon orange. ( and the rest of the interior)

Has anyone split a seat ready for trim? Do the backs unclip? Is the seat glued? Any advice appreciated?

Probably gonna be a trial and error on your part. You can contact Recaro and see if they might help out.

You can take it to an upholstery shop if you're worried.
