Weird Condensation Pattern

Has anyone else had this issue and is there a simple fix? Sometimes it's worse. This is actually what I would consider 50% of how bad it gets.

Try cleaning the glass with a high quality glass cleaner. That should help, but I'm not sure how condensation would be a car specific issue??!?! Never had a problem with this, but my car is parked inside virtually all the time (home and at work).

Maybe window tint could help, as well, by keeping your interior cooler if you park in the sun a lot.

It's not just condensation? It's also when it rains. The water looks like it beads differently there. Also, it is tinted and I've cleaned it twice by hand with very rigorous karate kid like effort.

I just bought it last month, so I'm new to the E92 M9. I had a 2009 335i and a 2010 X5 I traded in that never had this issue. I guess I'm wondering if anyone else had this happen from doing something specific or if the windows heating element has somehow malfunctioned and the result is this ugly ass window. Either way looking for a solution or cause.

Also, be clear the condensation is on the outside and the temp was like 45deg out with morning sun at my back when the pic was taken.

That helps, try Rain X. It's the best "mod" you can do to your car for the money.

There might be something wrong with your rear window defogger. It could be, for example, that your rear window defog is always "on" and the center section of the defog element is not working.
Try turning the rear window defog on then off to see if this changes anything.

Keeping your glass nice and clean on the inside (some people seam to ignore this when cleaning cars) will do wonders.

If this does not do it for you I would take her to the dealer for them to check your ventilation system.

Good luck
