SMS on idrive no longer viewable when driving ...

I recently updated my wife F25 X3 30d with the latest BMW integration level, and since I haven't been able to read SMS on screen while driving. You can have it read back but can't view it on screen. It gives you a legal warning, can't remember what exactly it said, but the moment the car comes to a standstill the message is viewable. I have iphone 5. It is very interesting that BMW is doing its level best to protect from being sued over driver distraction.

The reason I had the latest integration level was because I wanted the "last user setting" integrated to work with the stop/start functions.

I don't know if we update the E92 M3 idrive with the latest version of the BMW software whether this function take effect. To be honest, it's a distraction when an SMS arrives, and you want to read it. In a way, this protection is good.

Has anyone else experienced this?
