Lease Guru's - Am I missing anything?

Looking at a 2010 M3 Coupe lease configured as below. I think I've got it spot-on at $500 over invoice. Am I missing anything? Am I leaving any money on the table? I wanted to plausibility check it before talking to a few of the dealers. Is there a way to even further optimize this? BTW, 3 years, 10k/year, 750+ credit.

I am by no means a 'guru' but, your numbers look right to me. Are you using MSD's to buy-down your money factor at all?

I'm considering MSD's, but still on the fence. Other than killing off the $500 profit for the dealer, can you think of any other areas to tighten it up?

Just curious. Have you found a dealer that is willing to sell you a car at only $500 over invoice. Has your dealer agreed to the money factor. FWIW, my dealership tries to markup the money factor to make a little more profit there too.

Do you need to include the fee for metallic paint on your spec sheet?

Are you getting a non-metallic (alpine white/jet black) paint? If you aren't, is the $550 charge for it accounted for?

Good catch. I'm going with Alpine white though, so I left it off.

Looks pretty good. I just picked up my M3 and i am in LA too. I got an '09 but I think you can get $500 over invoice on most '10s too. Some dealers don;t deal like others but most will price match for you.

+1. This is universally true; most especially in the area I work (near the affluent Bellevue, WA). That being said, however, money talks and bullsh1t walks...

Come in with what you want, be firm, and walk if they won't bend.

I agree. I'm not interested in negotiating with these guys. There's 30 something dealers in So Cal and someone will take my deal without any hassle. This is the only way I know of to make this a completely pain-fee process.

in the finance charge of your chart you added the residual value to cap cost. You should have subtracted. The monthly finance charge should be $58.85

I think you're talking about the depreciate section. The formula for the finance charges should be (Adjusted Cap Cost + Residual Value) * Money Factor.

The processes look correct but:

Is the MF really .00228 or is it higher

And there is no way you are paying 300 for reg in California based on your capitalized cost.

I updated the spreadsheet with all the additions. It should be spot-on. The 228 rate was non-BMWFS. It's 245 with BMWFS, so I updated it. Updated the California registration as well (looked up the amount on Cal's site).

BTW, it looks like the holiday credit is lockable for up to 60 / 90 days. Should be able to order this up til Jan 4th with the holiday credit. Does anyone know what the new pricing or options would be for the LCI?

Pretty sure I'll be in to swap with an LCI in March.

No pricing yet and not much in substance, but if having the latest thing is a priority, it may be worthwhile to hold off for a couple months...I like the idea of having the new LED tails we're supposed to get.
