Just ordered a set of LUX H8 V3. Hope they will look great on my Melbourne Red M3.

I'll send some pics once I get them installed.

I gotta say, I was not expecting these to look as good as they do. Just installed mine and the pics posted don't do it justice. Thanks LUX for the fast shipping and great product!

Got em installed today!! Holy crap these look amazing. Will take pics tomorrow.

Only complaint - hard as HELL to install. That compartment is stupid small, and pictures make the compartment look huge! If you have big hands whatsoever, good luck. There's a lot of space for the wiring and whatever, but no space to get the bulb in with your hand!

Took me 30+ minutes. Most of the time on the first one.

TIP: When they say counterclockwise, they mean on both sides. I stupidly tried to go clockwise on the passengers side just because in my head it made sense. Not so much apparently.

You just have to manipulate the way you install the bulb, and I did both sides in less than 7 minutes. I timed it, since so many people kept complaining about the install process but it's not that bad.

I'll have to go back and look at the online instructions again. But, I thought the process for both sides was:
  1. Turn counter-clockwise to remove the old bulb.
  2. Position the LUX bulb in a T position (two tabs pointing up, one tab pointing down).
  3. Insert the LUX bulb into the headlight socket.
  4. Turn clockwise to secure the bulb.
These orientations assume you are facing the same direction as the vehicle.

+1 on the orientation. the bulb needs to be twisted clockwise to lock it into place. This assumes that you are standing behind the bulb not facing the bulb.

I quote my stupidity on that front.

Instructions are fine and spot on, but with my hands, and my stupidity, it took a while. Hardest part for me was getting the new bulb in. But damn I'm glad I did. I think the second time around I'd probably be done in 15 minutes since now I know my own methods.

Looks great! It must be nice living in a state that doesn't require a stupid front license plate.

just installed mine.... I tried my best to make sure the LED was snapped in place, but I'm not 100% it did, as I was barely able to just get it in there.

nonetheless, it looks really good! Here is a quick crappyphone pic:

wait, I'm not following.... if I'm facing the car (my face facing the windshield when looking towards the headlights), I need to twist it counterclockwise, correct?

if it was clockwise to remove, it should be counterclockwise to snap in place, no?

standing in front of your car, facing the front windshield/trunk...turn CCW to tighten, CW to loosen

but what would make even more sense it to twist the lux bulbs the opposite direction you just removed the OEM bulbs....just sayin...

Do these have a hint of blue color to them? Some pics show them as pure white and some have some blue.
