retrofitting the enhanced audio system..?

Anyone want to make a wild guess as to how much this would run me? And if its even possible? I know that I'd probably get more bang for buck by going aftermarket, but I want to keep the car as 'stock' as possible. I'm not much of an audiophile from the start, just mainly looking for some extra tone that the standard system lacks.

There's no need to do that. Use the OEM HU and replace the amp and speakers. A sound processor like the BitOne is an addition that you also might want to look into after you've done the speakers and amp. Also, according to Technic you can get an OEM enhanced audio front center speaker to fit where there isn't one in the standard HiFi, if you want, but you'll have to run wires.

Cheers.

You mean there is space above the center screen to fit a center speaker?
