Coolant Flush, radiator drain plug or bleeder screw?
I plan on doing a coolant drain and refill before winter starts rolling in full force.
Since I am not doing a complete flush, which plug do I need? After searching DIYs I wasn't able to come to a straight answer. Do I need both a new radiator drain plug and bleeder screw when just doing a drain and refill? https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part.../013197ecs01a/ https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part.../003530ecs01a/ I've been using the DIYs here religiously, but the coolant DIY pictures are no longer active |

I'd get both just in case one of them gets chewed up or looks sketchy. The plastic stuff can get brittle and warped from the constant heat cycling.

+1 on just getting both. I upgraded to the brass bleeder screw when I did coolant flush and my radiator drain plug "head" (the Phillips cross) got chewed up with removal and reinstall. Hard to find a large enough screwdriver to not chew up the plastic. Upgrade to the aluminum and never have to replace again.
