M3 was the most expensive car I bought (about 80K out the door) until I recently ordered the new M5.
I had second thoughts since the F10 will probably get a facelift and active bolsters next year. Going to hold out a little more. I already went through retrofitting LCI and CIC to my M3, not going through that again if I can wait a bit and get the features I want without further tinkering.

There are members on this board with annual incomes definately >1million. Id probably say that at least one is real, but the others are trolls. Kinda like that one video on youtube with a miliion likes, but then that one idiot has to hit dislike just for the sake of it.

The Ferrari made the largest dent to my wallet. The M3 w/ DCT has been my DD, and I still enjoy driving this car everywhere. I don't think there is a car out there that does a better job at providing so much visual appeal, comfort and driving excitement in one package.

Before getting my ///M, I had a 2008 VW Jetta GLI with DSG. Great fun, that little sucker! I actually really regretted trading it in because I had loved it so much, but once I got my M3 I never looked back! The GLI was an amazing car and I'd recommend it to anyone, but it couldn't hold a candle next to an M car, even one 10 years older than it.
Actually, random little fact. I spent more on the GLI than I did on my ///M. So strangely enough, the most expensive car I've ever bought was NOT a BMW, it was actually a VW, hahahaha. |
