YOU WOULD BE A IDIOT FOR f/i THIS CAR.. IT IS A HIGH COMPRESSION MOTOR! ITS BUILT FOR HIGH REVING NA. TO GO F/I SAFELY YOU WOULD HAVE TO REBUILD THE MOTOR AND THAT WOULD COST YOU WAY TOO MUCH MONEY..
OBVIOUSLY YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT F/I AND WHAT IS A GOOD PLATFORM SO I SUGGEST YOU DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. THANKS |

THANKS PS. I think if they could engineer a turbo set up, that would be awesome, especially with such a high revving engine. Doubt it will happen though. |

Yea they are likely to come out with a supercharger first and later turbo systems will follow. there will probably a centerfuge supercharger first and then Twin Turbo! I will hold out for the turbo HEHE

I think i might play around with supercharging or possibly turbos after my warranty expires. Ill let others be the guinea pigs first and see which choice is best.

it's a huge engine, it can take a SC. there are drawbacks to both, but when it comes to state taxes, and other fees, and the fact that the turbo setup might experience serious lags you might be better off with the SC.
it's really not a question of which is better, it's a question of preference, IMHO |

Twin or Single turbo. The engine would have no problems holding up if the tune was right. We have over there (In OZ) 6ltr V8's with massively high Comp Ratios with there's set=ups. Making huge power, running 10's off stock motors and daily driven off turbo kits.
It all can be down. Its How much Money = Development. Someone will do it out there one day. |

The reason SC is better for track driving is consistent linear torque. You dont want to get mid corner and find an extra 100ft/lbs torque when you didnt expect it =)

i prefer superchargers...they are great for adding boost to a car...the power is always there...and they sound cool and scary at the same time...too many ppl have turbo anyways...i like to be different

MTM have made a Supercharger Package for the Rival of M3 the RS4.We are talking about a Normaly Aspirated V8 wich revs at 8.250 and has a Compresion Ratio of 12.5:1( http://www.audiworld.com/news/07/mtm.../content.shtml ) .This kit is producing 535 bhp and 580 Nm of torque.Excuse my scepticism but you were talking about Supercharging high Compresion Ratio engines and if it was Possibile to do in a BMW M3 E92 engine V8 with 12:1 Compression Ratio. My vote is that in the next year we will have a couple of aftermarket Kits wich will supercharge the bimmer to somewere between 540-570 bhp at low boost ( 0.4 Bar-6.5 psi).On the other hand maybe not, this is just my guess......
