After checking out various sites and many posts, Thanks everyone!!!, I have focused on the V710 in hyper silver. eas is recommended 18 by 9.5 all around with no spacers. Alternatively, I can go with 18 by 8.5 with 15 mm spacers all around, but not their preferred set-up. Thoughts???

Hi Bushman. I was going to do the same thing (and talked to eas who recommended that as well) especially if you want the V710....but the question is what sort of tires are you going to get if you do 18x9.5 all around? 255/40/18 snow tires?

If yes, 255/40/18 is a bit wide up front. Just keep in mind, like everyone said many times on this forum, you do want a bit skinner on your fronts to get good traction in the snow...255/40/18 is going to be pretty wide.

Warzilla,
Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking the best way to go would be V710 18 by 8.5 upfront and 9.5 in back with 235's upfront and 255's in back. May need spacers upfront. I know going square is better in snow, but how many days are really snowy in the northeast. Plan to check with eas on Monday. VB3's are currently not available in silver. Given the sizes, for tires I was thinking Dunlop Sport 3D, or the Michelin Alpin PA2

I bought the Tirerack recommended set up. Blizzak LM-25s. I will just be swapping the rubber on the OEM 18" wheels. I think these will be good for all but the worst days in CT (shoreline)

255/50R18 on rear
235/40R18 on front

If I am wrong, then I'll be following the recommendations here!

Anything more than a little snow, I plan on keeping the M3 safe at home. TR recommended Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 sized as 235 40 18. I heard Nokian had a good pure winter tire and a good winter / all season tire. Any recommendations based on good, or bad experience?

Definitely show pix of the winter set and tell us what you think. Very curious to see how the square setup with the 18x9.5 works for you in the winter.
