I would hang on to this one... but, that is just me being a purist for the N/A engines that have carried the M-brand the last 38 years (their first-ever turbo was produced in 2010).

What is the latest date, next year 2013, we can order the last V8 M3? I am also planning to get the last N/A M3 and will do another ED. I am old school and I still prefer the N/A engine. Maybe 3 or years down the line, I may decided to get the F/I M3 model. I will give my SA a call to ask.

The E9X stops production in June of 2013; but, I wouldn't wait since the last allocation slots will be snatched up well before then.

Just off the phone with my SA and he told me that it will be on June 2013, as you said. He told me that I can place an order anytime to reserve the allocations even though I planned to do the ED on May next year. I can place the order next week or January next year but the earlier the better.

He laughed when I asked him about it. He told me that I am not the only one who is asking that same question. Apparently, a lot of die hard N/A V8 M3 guys/gals were thinking of snatching the last production units.

I will place my order next week just to be sure.

This doesn't surprise me in the slightest. The ///M Division has always been an N/A shop from 1972-2010; and the S65B40 will be the last of that lineage.

Good man! Be sure to post your build once you lock it in!

Seriously? I just talked to my CA yesterday and he told me I couldn't reserve a future production date: first come, first served according to him. I think I need to find a new CA. I swear my CA knows less about BMWs than I do.

Picked it up in Munich, went to Austria, Nurburg (12 laps!), Amsterdam, London, and Paris!

Now I have to wait another 4 weeks until it gets here!

We'll see where I am and how compelling the new F82 is. Part of me wants the new tech, part of me would miss the incredible V8 sound. Maybe I can keep both

If you're willing to make the trip, call Donna at BMW of Mt Laurel (NJ). This was the 3rd car I have bought from her, it doesn't get any easier.
