We know that already.My point is obvious at least I thought that there is a better chance of the op getting a cpo car with a warranty ibased on the year and model change. So far I have not heard about any bearing issues with the S55 motors since the inception of the f series M3 and 4. I would take my $ back and get the newer redesigned car as a better investment for now and peace of mind. He is lucky that the issue happened within the 30 day warranty period. After that 30 days is up it’s all on the OP.

The car didnt survive a week and the dealer gave you the short warranty. It is a good thing you beat on it right after purchase to reveal the engine flaw.
You might need a lawyer, since the warranty might cover a repair instead of a refund. Seized engine means the car is junk. Plenty of e9x M3s on CarGurus and AutoTrader and here on m3post.com to choose from in LA with low miles unmodified. M3s have a few design flaws and many are tracked hard, so you have to be extra careful when buying one from a car lot. You need a multiyear warranty from somewhere like CarMax. //M car repair costs are very high and avoid BMW dealerships for service. Try to find a 2011-2013 e92 M3 with less than 60-70k miles, preferably a MT 6 spd. Good luck and sorry to hear about your M3 experience. |
