M3 Engine Serial Number location
Hi All,
Am in the process of importing a M3 from the UK to SG. The Authorities require me to get a photo of the M3 Engine Serial number before importation. Any idea where its located? Based on this picture it seems to be near the rear of the block which is relatively inaccessible. Can anyone confirm the location of the Engine Serial number? Any help is much appreciated  Cheers Jason |

If you stand infront of the car facing the engine;
The number is XXXXX on of the block, just below the front right corner of the cylinder head for bank 2. Bank 2 is cylinders 4-8 the right hand bank if you are standing infront of the car looking at the engine. you need to remove the air box to see this. Hope this answers you question. |

Yeah you just did! Thanks a million... I can't wait for the dealer to come back with "But I can't find it..."
Yesterday he told me he doesn't know where the OBD Port is! |
