With the ralleye's....I will warn folks that there is a compromise if you plan to use the back seats. The tail strap is not easily removable. You would have to pull up the back seat and unbolt the anchors.

In my experience on my 330, it didn't interfere with car seats or anything else. The only bad thing that could happen is a backseat passenger getting a metal buckle in the bunghole.

Couldn't the tail strap simply be dropped between the bottom and upper seat cushions? Sort of make it disappear behind the cushion...

To a point. The anchors might stick up a bit so you can't make it totally disappear.

Got it!

Just noticed your ext color choice, it's what I wanted to have but couldn't make happen. Do you have a thread with more pics, perhaps something about your ED experience? Thanks...

In fact, if you tuck the belt away...I think someone is more likely to get a surprise when the slide into the back seat.

From what I can see in the Rallye 4 harness docs, it seems that the harness is not meant to be removed from the car easily. The only buckle that I see is a separation buckle between the tail strap and the shoulder harness.

I can see how the tail strap can be somewhat tucking in the back seats. But how about the shoulder harness? How would one remove it without unbolting the anchors brackets? Is there some separate accessory for this?

Thanks,

I put the shoulder harness portion on the floor behind the front seats. I just tucked them under the seat if I had rear passengers. As I mentioned earlier, I'm sure the anchors for the tail straps will stick up out of the rear seats a bit.

The quick fits would be much nicer. But if you hardly ever carry rear passengers or just put a car seat in the back, then the Ralleye's will work.

For adults and grown children, I would imagine that it would become a minor nuisance for most.

Interesting setup. Good to know. I do have a car seat back there so I am not too concerned about things sticking out of the rear seats provided they don't impair the car seat attachment points.

If you have the means, I highly, highly recommend it. You will never, ever look back

If you tell me that you trailer the GT3RS to the track with your X5M, I'm going to cry. And then I'll start looking for an additional career. Let's see...there are 168 hours in a week, and I'm currently working about 70 of those hours...that leaves at least time for another full-time job, and maybe a little sleep, and some left over for track-time, of course...

I couldn't bring myself to cut the lower bumper for the hitch install on the X5M. So I used my wife's '11 X5 diesel. Plenty of torque for the job. Taking it to TX in Feb for a track weekend

Happy New Year. It's 2012 and it's still vapor. I'll be giving them a call on January 3rd, unless someone else has news? For those considering Rallye-4s... I understand, but don't expect to be using them with NASA...

Spoke with Mike @ Schroth. Quick Fit Pro for e9x is in production, and "we're looking at about 2 months". It sounds promising.

That's encouraging. Did he say where they are being manufactured? I think he told me last year that they are going to made in the US. Probably no TUV certification, but not sure that's a big deal. If they really are in production then we should be in good shape unless the manufacturer screws something up.
