Guess it is really true. Drivers in China are not so good in driving.
I've been to China/Taiwan before and trust me, they drive terrible and reckless.

I agree but to me it looks like he loses it THEN hits the brakes AFTER slide has begun...TOAST.
I just wet myself watching that, ouch. A new set of tires much cheaper along with slowing the F down in the rain with STANDING WATER on a FLAT roadway...deadly. I see this all the time in the rain in TX, espec the billy bad ass trucks.

Yeah, I saw this video and for some reason the actual crash and the reckless driver did not spark my interest at all.

However, i can't stop thinking about A) why was this guy recording this B) did he know something / provoke something out of that m3 driver and C) Should I get a dash cam and just leave it on all the time? The dash cam videos are exploding, going viral right now.

For those who's asking, why the dude was recording this? I was in Taiwan earlier this year. The thing I noticed whenever I was on a bus or taxi, almost everyone of them had a camera installed on the windshield facing forward and on the bus, another camera pointing back towards the passengers. It's their way of documentation.

Aren't cars in HK/Taiwan RHD?

If that is the case, it would be the driver-side door.

Did the passenger door popped open during the crash?

This is driver error pure and simple. Too fat for conditions, too abrupt in maneuvering, and quite likely bad tires due to high cost of replacement tires in Taiwan. Hope everyone is ok and lessons learned.

Whoa now we're bringing obesity into the mix?

I agree with everyone else here, for some reason this driver thought his car defied the rules of simple physics.

Aside from that, all you can do is just pray that you gain traction before you smash into something.
You missed the most important part about preventing an incident like this. SLOW DOWN.

Wow.....looked like he feel a sleep or super slow reactions good 2-3 second he made no correction. He could have recovered or might have just grazed the wall instead of flipping.

Not the same situation but it was dry and I was passing a group of slow cars accelerating hard and as I come around them a truck 3 to 4 car lengths going perfectly fine speeds slams on his brakes for no apparent reason. I am still not sure if he was intentionally trying to cause a wreck or maybe he just all of a sudden decided to change lanes without giving any signal....still puzzled. Because there was no one in front of him I slammed on the brakes with ABS kicking in at full and swerved to the left with rear almost side ways I corrected it just in time to avoid that truck while passing him on the right.

It all happened in less then 4-5 seconds. I am glad I was not indecisive or slow in my reaction that day. Because I could have rear ended that truck or went off the road.

Anyways lesson learned not to be too aggressive while driving because of morons in large pickup trucks.

Person videotaping should be the right two lanes -.- I'm predicting the M3 driver got fed up and wanted to cut the person of hence the signal or maybe trying to compensate but who knows.

That's what happens when an inexperienced driver turns dsc off and drives like a moron on public roads.

When in doubt gas it!!!!

Could have been totally not so bad if he or she would have laid into the gas and turned into it (the slide) to bust out a 360. The impact if any would not have been that bad..... IMO
