Spotted a very clean, white e92 m3 with license plate, "C63 This" parked in midtown by Peter Cooper Village. Got a chuckle from the plate!

I've seen a ILB E93 rolling around a few times in the Hoboken/Weehawken/Edgewater area. Always driven by an Asian couple. Anyone know them/are on this board?
LMB ZCP E92 here, and new to Hoboken! |

I saw a couple of AW e92M3s in the city, one in the east village area, the other passing by in SOHO.
My M3 was back in DC, I couldn't understand how you guys can make it through the city with your M3s...but I saw an Orange GT2Rs blow by me on Park Ave with the exhaust echoing off the buildings...I get it, wish I had the balls to drive up my M3 to NYC, just don't want to valet it nor do I know of any good garages. |

I have no problems driving on any type of road surface. I've had low cars all my life and I'm just naturally careful. I know what I can go over, and what I can't. My S2000 was much lower than the M. My M has RSSport springs and this car is still quite high in my opinion based on others I've driven.

The rack is the OEM BMW one, which is actually manufactured by Thule (although it's different than the Thule one if you get it from Thule). Main difference is the branding obviously and that the BMW one actually never touches the roof of the car. Thule one does, however they supply you with 3M clear tape to put on the roof where it contacts. Anyway, it's a very sturdy bar system that takes <2 minutes to install and remove. My only complaints: The actual bike carrier was brand new. I just opened it and the two bolts to tighten it to the bars in front are defective. The allen wrench indentations aren't there so you can't tighten it at all. I'll have to go back to the dealer. Second, the bike carrier is made for a road bike only. You could probably put a mountain bike on, but the tires would have to be rather thin. BMW's mountain bike carrier looks quite ugly. I might ditch the BMW carrier altogether and get two Thule bike carriers for my bikes. And... Sunday 8/21: ~10:00am - That light bluish/grey color (I think it's SSsomething) E93 on the Parkway about mile marker 135. Dark wheels, diffuser, and tinted tailights. Only person I know with that color in the area is Poleposition, but I didn't think he had tinted tails and a diffuser. ~11:00am - Black E93 M with the top down near Chinatown area. Asian guy driving. ~2:00pm - Black M (might have been convertible) parked near Chinatown area with the mirrors folded. Had OEM 19s. NY plates. ~5:00pm - Black E92 M with OEM gunmetal 18s on the Parkway northbound about to go over Driscoll Bridge. Older male driving it with female passenger. Didn't look over at me at all. Doubt he is on the boards.

Heh, I was about to change lanes but I saw him approaching so I stayed in my lane and let him get alongside me.

Had a very, very, sweet run in with an M3 about a half hour ago on the Northern State. Plate was HIGHR3VS. We definitely pissed off a lot of the drivers around us with all that revving haha. Awesome car man! Especially those BBS rims
Oh, and I tried giving you a thumbs up, but you had really dark tints. Hope you didn't get confused for the finger or something haha. |
