So, would it be safe to assume that an M3

is going to cost somewhere between 1050 and 1400 a month for a 3 year lease? I am trying to decide if I should just forget about the M3 and get a 335i.

It's hard to predict because everybody's financial picture is different. Furthermore, it depends on residuals, money down, options, etc. I'd be a bit more optimistic and say high-800's to 1400.

Hum, I think the biggest problem with an M3 lease is the money factor. Due to the high demand of this car, I am going to guess that, like the new S5, the money factor will be .00325, or thereabouts. So, not only am I paying the difference between the prices of the 335i and M3, but the interest is significantly higher, and being a young guy, so will my insurance. So I really don't know if I need the M3, especially since my dad is getting an R8 and I can pretty much drive that whenever I want.

If you want to avoid the high interest, wait awhile. I'm waiting about a year before I opt for the new ///M. That way, any bugs should be fixed, and money factors are bound to be better.
