Custom Track Wheels are in!!! 18x10 and 18x11 w/ weights

I just recieved my track wheels from Calvin @ Sonic Motorsports and they are looking really good!!!

This setup for me is a track setup for ultimate traction. The specs on these are basically my dream setup. Obviously I could have spent 2 or 3 times the money for a different brand but considering these are a track setup, I didn't find that necessary. Here are the numbers:

Forgestar F14's powdercoated matte black, custom offsets
Front - 18x10 et25, 21.8lbs
Toyo RA-1 275/35/18

Rear - 18x11 et32, 23 lbs
Toyo RA-1 305/35/18

The only bad thing is that Laguna Seca does not have any events until Thanksgiving and I don't know if I want to gamble having my first trackday on the new rubber be in the wet. But it will KILL me to wait until next season.

I have the Macht Schnell competition stud kid on the way as well as the Toyo RA-1 rubber, all arriving before September 8th. Can't wait to mount these!!!! Let me know what you think!!

Just put the center cap on and didn't push it in just too see how they will look.

18x10 et25

18x11 et 32

I will be posting the pics of the wheel weights on that compairison thread.

Yeah just when I choose Toyo RA-1s for there perfect sizing, I find out that they are on nationwide backorder!!

So I found a guy that was selling 4 (and would not split them up) so I have 2 rears and 4 fronts on the way!

^^ no, they are not BBK friendly. You need to go with CF5 if you have bbk.

BTW, I was told RA1's were discontinued long time ago, how could you get them?

No online retailer is selling them. I had to buy from another forum member. And I called EVERYONE for those wheels!

No spacers, direct bolt on. Et 25 in the front is pretty standard on an 18x10, and the rear offset is high to accommodate a large rear tire size. Calvin @ Sonic Motorsport checked with the manufacturer to ensure fitment.

Don't make me nervous, I want my aggressive tires just to mount directly!!!

Nice set of track wheels...heck a lot of people including myself would run these for the regular wheels.

Any idea on how much the 19s weigh in those widths and offsets?

Nice wheels, congrats. It cracks me up you have them in your bedroom so they are the last thing you see at night and the first thing you see in the morning. (of course, I would probably park my M3 in the bedroom if I could)

Yeah I know what you mean about about parking the M3 in the bedroom, ha. And although that isn't my bedroom, it is the same effect because I will come home from work and just look at them! I'm in the process of cleaning out the garage (to make space for a 2nd set of wheels) so I threw them in the guest-room.

Just a pure guess I would say 19x10 fronts 25-26 lbs and 18x11 rears 26-27 lbs. But you should ask Calvin@SonicMS because they ran something close to that size initially on their Project M3.

Tires are mounted!!!!
Stud kit installed!!!!
The wheels ARE ON!!!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is that the traction is AMAZING!!!! And the fitment is absolutely perfect, every mm is spot on. Under hard acceleration, I can no longer chirp the tires shifting to 2nd and 3rd. Yes I know I need mounted pics, I will get them up ASAP and am in the middle of scheduling a professional photo-shoot as well. I am also auto-x'ing on them on Sunday (After watching LeMans at Laguna Seca on Saturday!!!) so I will get to really see what they can do! Yeah I'm excited right now.
