I got my tint done by Tritek in Richardson.

They charged my $160 for 20% all around, with Pinnacle F1 brand.

Sorry, I am a little sensitive to the fact that Dallas peeps are always rippin' on Houston. Different towns for different folks, and I guess it just hit me wrong this morning. My bad, a truce works for me and congrats on the new ride. How about some pics??

Blake (or whoever you are these days), I came across a thread on another forum that I think is right up your alley. Enjoy :

Oh and Kyle, WTF were you thinking with this one? Wow!

That might have been the least heterosexual thread I have ever read. As for the picture, it reminded me of the messicans that hang out by the tracks on Shepperd. Just a joke John, cálmate.

As long as he's not doing it himself (I need a legitimate business that carries commercial liability insurance) "off the clock."

Good shop?

Ok im lined up for saturday at Tritek. Where is a good place to get springs and my wheels/tires put on all at once? Probably gonna need them to do an alignment as well after I would guess. Good quality shop but fair prices is what Im hoping for.

Has anyone had springs put on that remembers what it costed them locally?

I have heard you should be able to get them put on for $300 labor.

You can give Autoscope a shot, if you'd like.

Is it too late to say I LOVE Houston?!

There better be somewhere in Dallas that will do it for that.

I am going to look at Autoscope. Something tells me that they wont be so cheap.

Metropolitan Colllision on 16th street in the Heights. They do all the cosmetic work on my car and I have had a lot done there so he may have cut me a deal, but you are welcome to call. Ask for Andy, tell him Kyle sent you. (832) 618-1700

Ok cool. If I cant find somewhere here to do it for that or close I will go. I just gotta factor in gas, time, and how Id get the tires/rims there. I guess I could have them shipped there if I knew far enough in advance.

Thanks for the help

Ill try and get some up tonight. The sooner I find a local place to do the mods the sooner they are more interesting pics!

If its a clear night in the big D tonight it will at least have a good backdrop.

F

I am getting the craziest quotes to put springs on the car. $730 with alignment from autoscope. $850 from some place in arlington.

Even that guy in houston at metropolitan collision said $502. He must have given you a discount for all the other work.

There is a whole thread about how it shouldnt cost more than $300-350 tops.

This is ridiculous...

Do you have any technical know-how? Just do it yourself... Takes time but it isn't that bad. I've done it in my garage to all my other cars, but I'm waiting to get rims for this one before I lower it. There are a few DIY's on this also. Maybe call firestone hahaha... It really doesn't take a aftermarket type place to put springs on. The alignment is a different beast though.

MC gave me an insane deal on my bumper install, which took them awhile to fit perfectly, but they were going to charge me an arm and a leg to install my springs. Rueben just looked up the labor charge on the computer, which obviously shows more time than the 1 hour it actually takes. I got my springs installed elsewhere for $250.

What's with all the Houston hating? Yeah, most of Houston isn't the prettiest, but it has a lot more character than most cities and the people are the best of anywhere I've lived or visited.
