that 111 mph trap is pretty impressive

with a broken in motor and a better launch, this car will probably be a 12.6 - 12.7 qtr.

yea the MPG is pretty bad from what they said. And its suppose to be better than the e46, but than again EPA did change the ratings or whatever. Hopefully BMW will take this into account and keep the M sub 60K.

Im guessing 58-60K, that would be reasonable.

I know this is probably just arguing word choice, etc. but their estimated price as tested was $60,000 but chances are that car was pretty loaded (we know for a fact that it had EDC) and probably a number of other options.

You have to excited when you see the 4.4 sec 0-60 was on a slippery road surface and hurried schedule. "Expect the 08 to be quicker with a full road test"

good point, it did have EDC, M-drive, Navigation, Metallic plaint, and leather seats.

however im not sure if all those options would make the car 60K, that means base price must be like 54-55K.

Thanks for the scan. Quite high praise. Good catch rpa on the price as tested. Not entirely sure they meant that and non base price but we'll see.

Since I am obsessed lately comparing the car to the R8 I will note the braking number I could find for 70-0 mph for the R8 was 160 ft, besting the M3 by a mere 3 ft. I did find a number for the Carerra S at 154 feet as well.

Nice thanks. Fairly solid review. The Lows they mentioned, overly complicated driver interface, is no big deal to me. I am a techie person and it won't be that hard to figure out. Can't believe people keep griping about technology. Oh well, I like what I hear.
Love this line "There's a temptation to rev the ever-loving stuffing out of the enigne....". For some reason I can see myself indulging.
Now to check the latest Motor Trend that came in. Has a spread on the C63.

They are noticeably dormant. As they are with all good M3 reviews. Just compare the reviews and you will see what type get the most attention. It is sad.
I can't wait till this damn ride gets here. What are people's thoughts about the US price/delivery being annouced before the September M3 debut?

+1. You go BMW work that huge marketing machine, build up the hype, the lust... And then make us wait until March 08...Ugh. I heard a rumor in a car rag that BMW plans to move toward simultaneous EU US launches. I would be nice to treat their largest market a bit better IMO.

This review again makes me question weather IDrive is really worth getting if you can change the settings easier with the buttons?
