Average time is 1 year after the Coupe is launched
Couple was launched in September 2006, so expected time is September 2007, which is start of 2008 models

So when's it coming out!?
'08 Models are out in mid '07 , that's true but they're saying the car will be in the AUTO SHOWS in late '07 meaning the car won't be out 'til '08...

One can hope we'll get a peak at LA show since BMW has confirmed it will debut either a concept or production car at the show (http://www.laautoshow.com/show/tabid...id=2006072501), but I think the E93 hardtop convertible 3-series is probably more likely.

in the e46 line up, the sedans were released in September of '98 as '99 models. Coupes showed up a year later (in '99 as '00 model). The M3 showed up in roughly March of 2001 as a 2001 model.
Compare this to sedans... we have had '05 and '06 model years and are now on '07... going by this we should see the E92 M3 round about April - June 2007. Comparing the E46 run to this one in terms of Coupes, we would be waiting until 2008 to see the M3. Lets hope they are going by the sedan release! |

M3 release
The all new BMW M3 won't be appearing anytime soon. It's release is slated for next Septemeber i.e. (2007) and the folding roof version in the following spring of 2008. That is why I am keeping my M3 for another year. I was very fortunate to be able to order a new M3 or at least be placed on the list as #1. I found a BMW dealer near me that didn't have anyone on the list so with $500.00 deposit, hopefully I will see my new M3 in a year! Can't Wait!!

'08 M3
Quote:
The M3 usually comes out a year after the 3-series coupes are realeased, which took place last month. So Sept. '07 would be the logical time for the M3 Coupe to appear and the drop-top version, in the spring following the M3 Coupes fall release. So hold on... and wait for the most awesome ride this side of an M6... possibly better! We shall see! |

Not true. The E92 M3 will have demo cars shipping out in March 2007 (And BMW dealers have already invited potential buyers and press to events to see them in March 2007) and they will probably press release it at the same time, as BMW usually releases models twice a year, in March and in September. Münich has already confirmed that it'll ship for late Summer 2007 deliveries at least to the largest BMW reseller in Northern Europe, who I got my info from (and am waitlisted at #1.)
Best regards, Jussi |

M3 e90 will be available late 2007!!
Hi! I'm just new here but yesterday I got some information about new M3 so I thought I could join you and share it. The M3 coupe it will be presented in may at the International Geneva Motorshow just us the actual one six years ago, and will be comercialiced about september-october 2007! Thats for Spain where I'm from, so in the States maybe 6 months later or something like that, you must know better than me how much delay is from europe to america. The information comes from a meeting of the spanish comercials for 2007 planning sales, so from my point of wiew it's a good source!!
So expect January or february have official information from BMW Motorsport about specs and definitive shapes!! |

The Geneva show wil be March 2007, not May.
Looks to me like the rumors from multiple countries (thanks M3 biggest fan, Jussi) as well as analysis about typical and past BMW release schedules is honing in on a final answer. Official info. soon, perhaps Dec-Feb, as a pre-show announcement, a probable 1st showing in Geneva in March, customer shipments to Europe in late summer 2007 (as 2008 model) and finally shipments to us in the US around September 2007. Sound about right? Many over at at m3forum.com (http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=136884) still swear we will not see a car in the US in 2007. It sure is much easier psychologically to believe the earliest date possible. Sure will suck hard if it is not as we expect. Last but not least, although I almost never trust dealers, the sales manager where I have a deposit said today he doubts a showing in Geneva. Of course I asked him for his source and will let you all know his reply, if any. |
