H&R Sport Springs vs. RD Sport Springs (Comfort)

I just did a broad search, and read every single thread that mentioned either H&R Springs, RD Sport Springs, and Eibach Springs.

I'm definitely dropping my car, and I've decided my fail safe will be the eibach Spring kit.

A lot of people say they cant feel a difference with the H&R springs, some people say its a bumpier ride. I don't mind the ride getting a little stiffer, but I don't want to lose 25% of stock ride quality like I've heard from some community members.

I know the RD Sport springs are lower, but I've also read that they are more comfortable than the H&R spring, I'd like to see if anyone can confirm this.

Lastly, is there anyone in the NY area with H&R springs? Maybe we can meet up and go for a drive.

I paid $200 to get mine installed. The springs definitely stiffen up the ride. I find the "feel" of the car a bit degraded when riding in "comfort" mode. In normal mode the handling feels slightly different - I still can't tell if it's really improved. In sport mode, the handling feels noticeably better.

As for comfort, the only positive reviews I've read with aftermarket springs are with the Eibachs or Dinan ($$$)

I can't say the rd sports are softer than the H&R's as I havent been in one with H&R installed, but i can tell you on the soft setting the rd sports ride almost the same as stock.

RDSports are comfortable. I would prefer something a bit stiffer and lower, so I can't imagine my disappointment had I had gotten Eibachs.

The H&R's can be pretty stiff, especially in "sport" mode. Sometimes I wish I got the Eibachs...

I have H & R's and a friend has eibachs..... we both agreed the H & R's seemed to ride smoother when we swapped cars

Just had my H&R's installed this past weekend. Prior to the springs I drove with EDC in comfort mode and my overall impression was that the ride was pretty good. A little rough in some instances but overall good.

With the h&r's I've been driving in Normal mode and I must say I love the feel of the h&r's. I won't say it contributed anything in terms of handling because I haven't really tested it like that. However, the ride has remained the same if not better to me. This may sound stupid but coming from lowered cars..the m sat high for me in its stock form. The car feels just right at this point.

As for the drop, I have the factory 18's. You can tell the car is lowered but its not slammed..however I'm pretty sure once it settles it should be just right now. I'll snap some pics.

Conclusion: At this point no regrets whatsoever with going w/ h&r springs..

Well, that is comforting! What settings did you guys base your opinion on? (comfort, normal, sport or all)

We did it in all modes. What we concluded was the car rides almost exactly the same as stock in comfort with the H&R's but the aftermarket springs ride better in normal with more people or weight in the car. The H&R's ride smoother in normal than stock springs in normal.

any more comments on the RD sports? Height drop? How many fingers can you stick in between your front wheel and the fender? How tall is it from the ground to the front bumper?

If RDSport is lower in the front than the H&R's, from my personal viewpoint I would imagine the front being TOO low. The H&R's already give the car a raked look.
