Believe it or not, getbmwparts.com has a kit with an OEM filter and nine liters of this stuff for $120 shipped. Best price I've seen. Check it out

It is now on auto parts store shelves. It hasn't gone away.

I have some extras I'm willing to sell at $100 a bottle if you want it that badly

The label on the shell version said it's for the twin power turbo engine or something like that..... made me scary to use even though it is also 10W60

Argh, you fail in reading comprehension.

It says "Twin Power Turbo", which is marketing jibberish, it doesn't mean anything. Read the label on the back carefully, it specifically says it's for M3s up to 2013.

Good grief.

This new oil is 10-60 weight and is exclusively for S85, S65 engines and last gen M3 and M5 NA engines.

I believe Shell updated the oil and probably put a better additive package in it. The only way to tell is to have someone run an oil sample of the clean oil.

Agreed, it's not like TWS was some secret sauce or something... Some speculations are it contributed to rod bearing issues, which I believe

Nice graphics, Ace.

Interesting that it says "Shell" nowhere on the labels, front or back of the bottle...

Never really liked Shell as a company, and now that the TWS is at O'Reilly for $12.99 a liter everyday, would likely just go with that when doing a 10W-60.

Just ordered from the site above and it's actually $123- with the handling fee. Definitely slot cheaper than ecs. I'll stick with the original Castrol for now.

I got the new shell stuff for 10$/bottle (ordered online but picked up locally). I was so happy about that, i got the "top up oil case" for the trunk!

http://www.bmw-oem-parts.com/

I'll ask again.. Why stick with Castrol??
