yes, professional instruction. Its ran in conjunction with the BMW CCA which I was very active in the states. The school is actually ran by local BMW Club DE in the Eifel region.
The school is three days long with lead/follow sessions. They split the track up into 3 sections and you repeat each section over and over (half-day). at the end they combine everything. This is the only time you can split up the track and learn it in more bite size pieces. If you are military or gov contractor in germany you can even use the VAT form to get the tax taken off. Its 1200 Euro with VAT rebated. The school is 3 days, but its actually Aug 2-4, Aug 1st was just registration. Register here if stationed in germany. http://www.fahrerlehrgang.info/englisch_version.html You can also register at motorsportreg.com if you are based in the US but you will pay for VAT and the conversion rate was from last winter so its considerably more expensive. |

good point. sorry about that. i'll post a separate thread on the other date. come join us at the school if you can though. public days are a dime a dozen and the school offers a rare chance to really practice the circuit without having to worry about motorcycles and all the other tourists.

Ouch..neither would I. lol..I drove to Munich for BMW welt and spent the day ther 5 hours away I understand. Had a blast comming back though, played with e30 M and his crew of 3.0 supra/300zx/350z **sorry off topic**
Zurich, Switzzz lemme google. Back, your 4 hours and 20 minutes from me...and thats 4 hrs 52 from the ring to Zurich. I'm sure you can make it 4 hrs and 15 flat. Not to harsh of a drive, but I would definitely suggest sleeping before driving home of course. If your not to weird or needed to use a lift I have the extra space/facilities at my house.

1) Vacation sex is hard to say no to.
2) She wanted a convertible with a manual with enough room for the kids. A mini was her first choice but our youngest's legs hit the back of the front seat because of her booster seat. Her previous car was an 05 GLI and her next will probably be an X5 though. |

What's the point? It has no more room than a 5 GT and costs 4 times as much. She likes the X5 but I doubt we'll do the M version. It's WAAAAAAY overpriced and it's going to be a trip family hauler so it'll likely be the diesel.

i like the cut of your jib. exactly my sentiments. X5 way more useful. i think next year we should get the X5 4.0d with a triple screw turbo. i'm debating between that an a cayenne hybrid s. either one will be used for towing duty (son's go kart and/or my track car).

I can take people who did not drive a lot there for a few laps and show them around. be sure to book a hotel soon. the truck GP is that weekend on the GP track. |
