It seems that you have you manners up your ass man!

You leave a bad feeling at the end of the day on what a great experience this was going to be checking out interesting post around here...it's just a post Lucid...don't take it so personal...oh! that's right..you don't like people giving you advice...how stupid I am..

Cheers
Look man, if you want to come across as being sincere drop the condescending language and play along, and I'll believe that you are not being sarcastic yourself in your apology. You've made condescending remarks in every single post toward me on this thread. I'm not your kid, nor do I want your advice on what to focus on, nor do I want you to read things into what I wrote that are not there. If you don't see the problem with those, you won't go very far in dealing with people on-line.

I didn't think he was being condescending and I even thought he made a valid attempt to make amends.

It seems like these trolls around here have some of us on edge. I'm guilty as well.

I still find it better than the E92 section of the M3forum.com. That place is full of E46 M3 fanatics that can't let it go. Plus the Audi, 335i, and Merc guys.

As if you haven't been a part of it? Are you claiming you're above it all then?

I prefer simplicity and dials over digitial readouts. I like to see the tach and speedo front and center and then the heat and gas gauges off center. In fact I like my current E46 set-up. And I hope the HUD is optional for the new M3. I never liked those things, and they are a big distraction.

You drop in, make an inflammatory remark, and then take no responsibility (thanks for demonstrating my point about you exactly). Yeah right...M3onTwomps said pretty much what you said, but said it differently (was responsible) and got a different response.

Do you have anything to say about instrument layouts?

that looks like a honda accord to me

small tach off to the side... I guess it doesn't matter with Benz since you're stuck with a slushbox anyways

they are supposed to be finally coming up with some kind of automanual alternative.

I was making a calm, simple observation about the fact that all too frequently threads turn into arguments, and you think that is inflammatory? You respond by asking me if I'm above it all? Did I ever say I wasn't to blame? If the truth be known I do enjoy winding up the majority of people on here who tend to be a bit immature or stupid, or both. For serious M3 discussion I go elsewhere.

Since when does the justification for saying anything on this thread demand having anything to say about instrument panels? This thread has long since degenerated into a slanging match.

But, as you wish, I think the M3 instrument looks great and very classy, mainly because of it's clarity.

Actually, regarding what I said above. It does appear to have returned to the topic of the thread. Well done everybody!!

I wasn't saying that was the justification. It was an attempt to get back to the topic. It was a simple question, which you answered. Thanks.

FWIW, I may be an Audi-guy, but I think the new M3 instrument layout is clear and simple. It has all the functional elements I need. Speed, RPM and oil temperature. I assume that everything else can be displayed selectively on the center LED display.

For high performance driving that's all I want to see. Anything more is just too much information, and not that useful to me.

Talking about civics, I figured I'd throw in a Japanese example as well. IS350.
