I don't know Mr Plutonium

If someone is considering buying an understeering piece of garbage like an RS anything, they probably should.

The lameness of a product that came out years after the E92 and has crappy feel and is slower in a straight line is seriously epic.

The C63 crowd at least has insane torque/hp going for it. The RS5 crowd has what? Pretty styling? Understeer?
Epic engine sound, out of this world styling, very good performance for the street and all year drivability for people that live where there is snow! Not a bad car at all, just was'nt made to be a track toy like the M3 but still very capable!

lol I have got to say that Volkswagon/Audi has been trying for years. They have come a long way. This car doesn't cut it in reality. I had a very piss poor experience with Volkswagon/Audi and will never buy one. However I may look at a V10 R8. Other than that they have nothing to offer ME that BMW and Lamborghini can.

Nothing wrong with disliking the RS5, but at least keep your facts straight.

Y'know, we've been through all this before, but the facts are that the RS5 is a little quicker on average over a road course, supported by an anecdotal Fifth Gear video shown within these pages, plus FastestLaps.com shows it a bit quicker on twelve out of fifteen tracks, last I looked.

In a straight line, best ET for the RS5 is from Road & Track, where it ran a 12.2 @ 113.6, while best ET for the M is a 12.4 @ 114, from Car & Driver.

M3 takes steering feel honors by a smidgeon from my point of view.

In short, these two are both remarkable cars, and one couldn't go wrong with either.

I agree the audi is a tad quicker in the 1/4 mile. Only the e9x m3 came out in 2007. For a car that was released less then a year ago I think they could have brought a little more to the table.

Nevertheless it's a great looking car congratz!

That's a little too simplistic, I think. From Audi's perspective, it first and foremost has to be an Audi, appealing to their current clientele.

That includes most or all of the particulars that their current users have grown accustomed to. These particulars are somewhat different than what BMW fans appreciate.

The fact that it's a slightly better performer on track or at the drags is simply gravy - especially since it's better on gas, even though it's quite a bit heavier.

From your point of view, how much faster would've been enough?

You see the issue, I hope.

3 years ago, ? It only exists in 2013 model year. So if it was released in 2012 its about a year old.

Says the guy driving two old-ass '02's. Have you ever sat in an RS5? Hear the sound it makes, saw one in person or *gasp* driven one? It is actually slightly faster then the M3 around a track according to some recent comparos. Its also a much better DD car. With AWD, it is also ideal for people in snowy climates.

Even if its not your cup of tea, keep it to yourself and move on. Why try to bash and ruin the fun for OP? Put it this way, his RS5 is 1000x cooler then what you have currently.

To the OP, congrats. The RS5 is quite stunning.

Pretty sure once you option one of these out you're encroaching on used R8 territory which is the only Audi that could pull me from the BMW brand.

Right. Because most M3 owners are so insecure, they need a manly car to reassure themselves.

I still prefer the looks of the M3 compared to the RS5. Audi's have too much plastic on the front for my taste.

I'm not too sure...

I currently drive a '13 ZCP in individual MCB... but thanks for trying

And yes I have seen it in person. This came out in Europe years ago. It is definitely a pretty car
