M3s at this weekends HRS at Sebring

Two of my sons and I did five laps around historic Sebring International Raceway today. I drove my 08 M3 Sedan during the "Track Tour" event at this weekend's HRS (Historic Racing Series).

I assumed this would be a very tame 50 mph or so tour of the 3.7 mile circuit which is composed of straight aways, twisty turns, and one hairpin turn. However, it turned out to be much more aggressive. We hit a top speed of 93mph on the straight aways and had a chance to test the grip of my car on the turns. Wow! We all want to take up racing now.

Attached are some pictures of historic M3 race cars that we took today.

Join the BMWCCA and go to a HPDE. That will allow you go get your track fix at a reasonable cost in a safe environment with minimal safety equipment investment (a Snell rated helmet).

Cool pics, thanks for sharing.

Good choice, you'll also get at least $500 off your next new BMW purchase once you are a member for a year.
