BBS LM-R "ERICSSON SPEC" Owners: Are Camber Adjustments needed to fit?
Hey what's up Guys,
Curious to those guy's running LM-R's in Ericsson offsets (20X9et8 20x10et18), if you needed to make camber adjustments to fit. Planned tire sizes (245/30/20, 275/30/20) This is more directed towards guy's on Coilovers, who are relatively low. Have been hearing mixed replies, and just trying to get this straight. |

The 20x9 wheel with a 245/30/20 wheel has a larger overal diameter in comparison to the 245/35/19 wheel.
If the same tire is used in both specifications, the 245/30/20 tire has an overall diameter of 25.85" while the 245/35/19 has an overall diameter of 25.77. This is not a large difference by any means, but the 20" is simply larger, not smaller. With that said, a standard ZCP wheel which measures 19x9 ET31 fitted with the factory 245/35/19 tires rubs on a lowered M3 with a 20mm spacer up front which makes the effective offset 11mm. The Ericsson spec wheel is 20x9 ET8. It is larger with a more aggressive offset, 3mm more than a ZCP wheel with a 20mm spacer up front which does rub.

I would guess that you would need to adjust your camber to make them fit. Not a big deal; adjust the camber and enjoy!

Do you not want to run camber? If not, then buy the non-amuse offsets. If you don't mind running camber, then there's not much else to do but mount them and see. If you don't rub, great. If you do, then you can either get camber plates or run smaller tires.

If that's what you want then just buy them and make them fit. Don't fear camber.

It will rub a little without camber, which is how I'm running. It will rub on big dips and driveways that is steep. I would recommend camber if you're car will be low like mine has no gap between tire and fender ( cannot put a finger through or between )
