Tom, can you describe and post a pict of how you connected these to the exhaust? Are you spot welding? or do you recommend a fastener approach that EAS would provide with the tips.

Already answered above. No welding. They use cool clamps. Officially I think they are called "t-clamps".

Pretty much any semi competent exhaust shop can do the OEM mod. I took mine to a shop that I took my other cars to, they did it for $300. I painted the can black myself. Cheapest mod ever.

Black Ceramic for me.... looks really good. Can you show us a picture of the tips with the clamps? Also let me know when they are available, I'm very interested.

Thanks!

Deciding if Gloss black or Ceramic (like the Akrapovic coatings we offer) are the way to go:

Let's hear some feedback!

Either clamps or rivets (supplied).

The T-bolt clamps allow for a bit of adjustment for personal preference or those equipped with diffusers.

Nice, thanks! Are T-bolt clamps evident from the rear when installed or pretty clean? Would be great if you have a shot of them installed with T-bolt clamps.

Can't see them at all, they're tucked behind the bumper cover.

I'd love to see these in a thermal ceramic black.

100% positive, just tips. I dropped a larger diameter tip on the stock exhaust which changed the sound. Granted it was a 4cyl engine, but it did get a little louder

Count me in if you make these in the flat black!

any chance you guys will be making a double walled tip? I prefer them over these single walled.

Thanks!

No plans on double-wall, sorry.

Ceramic black will be an option.

Not yet, we're simply getting user feedback before proceeding.

Tips are in production, I have a few sets of E90 already made.

We'll start a thread in the vendor's section once ready.

Strongly considering these on my E90.

Can they be installed without uninstalling the muffler first, or does the muffler need to be removed to drill out the factory rivets?

Rice is generally regarded as being tacky (ie tips that glow neon at night or something). These are far from rice as they look nice and are not gaudy.

Compared to what many of the members on this forum put on their cars I would hardly out this in the rice category...
