18" OEM: 08 vs. 09 color difference?

I'm considering picking up a set for winter / track use. Does anybody know if there's a difference in color between 08 and 09? I thought I read there was but couldnt find any info... thanks

I know the comp pack has silver, but are all of the stock 18" OEM the same "matte gray"?

I believe so, I've seen no differences and I suspect the p/n is the same as well which would be a good verification. Check with your local parts department.

WRONG!

Turns out the 18"s are silver as of MY2011. Wonder why.

+1

I thought "What!?!" when I saw this but I just saw some pics and they are silver. I like the dark finish because I thought it went well with Space Gray. The silver finish looks like it will be good with blue or red cars.

They aren't bad looking, but they'll take some getting used to.

I like the darker finish, but as someone else mentioned, I'm sure the lighter finish will look good on certain exterior colors.

I hadn't noticed until this thread. I have Interlagos Blue and think the silver finish would look great. However, with the current 18" wheels I don't feel so bad if I don't keep them clean.

Cheers.

Just wanted to point out that the OEM 18" (for 08/09/10) are not matte grey as someone posted, but rather glossy.

Sorry to revive an old thread...but I wanted to see if anyone knew if the gunmetal wheels can still be ordered for the OEM 18" wheels instead of the silver ones that the 2011 cars have been coming with. I prefer the gunmetal wheels and think they look a lot better. If anyone knows, that would be great!

I don't think the gunmetal wheels can be speced out on new orders but you would have to check with a dealer to confirm. You can pick up a set of the old style at Tischer.
