The track is awesome. I want to try it going the other direction now.

The weather was actually pretty good (compared to the rest of California) until about 2PM both days. After that the wind kicked up really bad and it was getting hard to see on the track.

Car is filthy but I am happy!

This track is really fun, can't wait to do it again.

Very little rain, but plenty of wind. There was a biblical 30 min. dust storm that blew through that eventally cancelled the rest of the day on Sunday. Everyone was waiting for the frogs and locusts to drop from the sky.

A 1.5 hour vacuum job late last night took care of the interior mess.

Ha ha. There's my car at 0:25 on the right side getting sand blasted.

It's a good thing Mr. Chili Cheese saw this coming on the horizon and said "Let's go inside for this one".

Too bad they called the event for the day after this. About 30 minutes later the wether was perfect. I wanted another session too!

So you were pitted right behind us. I was in the group with the Green Machine

I have all weekend planned to detail the car...

Yep. That zombie machine is pretty awesome. I liked the Canyonero sticker on the rig too. I know I'm going to hack the name but I know one of the drivers of that car was a guy named Sadikyl... Sadicle (sp?) shit I'm not sure maybe I'm not even close. He instructed me at the last autocross I was at. Had some great tips for me.

Satakal. Really good guy and a good driver. The car is used by a few of the SD BMW Instructors for Chump Car Racing. I was the Silver Grey e46 M3 next to it.

Yeah, I was trying to borrow an EZ-Up from my neighbor and I'm glad it didn't work out because that thing would have disappeared into the desert at some point.

The BMWCCA tents were tied to the fence and were still trying to take flight. I helped take one of them down and it was a serious endeavor. It took 4 people to close it up safely.

For the one in the video, yes. But when out on track, windows need to be down for point-bys! I also have an open face helmet, so coming out of turn 8 the sand was just pelting me in the face...

Eventually they let us go out with the passenger window up, which helped, but it got to the point out on track where I just rolled up my driver window for half a lap. It was ridiculous, you could not see the pavement.

So let me get this straight. You're driving as fast as you can around a very dusty track while you can't see the road??? While getting a ton of dirt in your car???

Good times!!!

That about sums up the few minutes before they shut the track down on Sunday. The rest was great. I will be going back.
