HOUSTON: Who's M3 did I just buy?

Hi! My first post here on M3post, this is my first M3 and I have had her for almost three weeks.

I purchased this car from a guy here in Dallas. He accepted it in a trade from a guy in Houston for his R8. I realized in the first week after I purchased the car that the ZCP wheels are fakes! One of them is actually cracked on the inside. Guy I bought it from is a huge douchebag so of course he's just playing it off like it's nothing.

Does anyone know the original owner of it? Just wanted to see if there is anything else I need to know. Otherwise, the condition of the car is perfect and I have been enjoying the car. I will be taking it to TTW tomorrow to be closely inspected.

Garage List
well, if it's a fake ZCP wheel at least it will only cost you like $250 to replace, right?

That's practically a stock M3, it'd be hard to pinpoint who's car it was.

Have you been able to look at the BMW maintenance history?

I guess check the service history and try to find out if it was tracked.
Just because I bought the car already means I shouldn't try?

Much more than $250/each + price of remounting four tires/tpms.

I have not, besides what's on the Carfax. How can I do that? I heard a lot of dealers don't like to disclose that information.

IMO, having a PPI done by BMW would have been the thing to do.
If I found something negative I could address it immediately before it becomes something more serious. I purchased the car to daily and take to a couple HPDEs a year and I'm glad I found out about the cracked rim before it was too late.

Yeah captain hindsight now but if stuff is important to you it should be determined pre-purchase.

Personally I always shy away from aftermarket mods, saves a lot of headaches and you know what you're getting.

Not a matter of Like - matter of NOT ALLOWED. BMW NA or whomever emailed my boss and complained about me willingly offering to run Internal history reports for people in the past. They have to have a lurker on here or something.

But the warranty history on your car is uneventful and there's nothing notable. If you needed to know.
