DCT questions
Hi guys - I don't own an M3 - I have a new 335is and it's the first 335 equipped with the 7spd. DCT
I've asked over on the 335 forums but so few people have any experience with this trans that there is very little knowledge. My problem is that I cannot seem to fully disengage the DTC/DSC. Yes, I know how to operate the DTC button... But with the DTC fully inactive (long 5-second push of the button/ warning light on the dash) the car will not sustain a spinning drift - the DSC will cut power if the tires are spinning and the car is sideways. Does anybody know if and how you can switch the DTC/DSC fully off? Are the new M3's also like this? Thanks |

The M3 has only the DSC system. When it's shut off, as far as I can tell there is no intervention. But I'm not a drifter either, so maybe you'll get better responses.

It's not until you try to get sideways that the DSC kicks in. anyone else have first hand experience with this? |

Maybe it's to do with the lack of an LSD on the 335is.
