No offence to anyone,

Tell me that you guys are kidding with that 10hp gain just with the axle back box?

No, we have sucessfully proven in the past that equal gains can be had from axle-backs compared to cat backs. Obviously this varies depending on the exhaust layouts.

Oookay,

I just thought that back exhaust is for the sound alone. Ok lets say maybe for 1hp gain that's all.
But hey..what do I know? I've only dyno tested exhaust to its limits on my M5

Guys, on an NA car... this isn't a mod for HP, in my experience.

It's for sound and looks. The picture (photoshop?) shows the Remus exhaust getting rid of an M3 design "flaw" -- that ugly muffler hanging down in the rear.

Combine that with a perhaps nicer sound than stock, and there's your $1200 benefit.

Also as Greg said, what does it weigh? Some stock systems are VERY heavy, as much as 50 lbs heavier than aftermarket, and that's where you'd see a performance gain....

Looking forward to a sound clip, possible side by side with stock, in car and out!

The image has a "photoshop" feeling to it because the guys over at Remus Austria chop out the backgrounds, leaving only the car with somewhat rough edges.

We will offer wholesale pricing for our first customer on the E92 M3, all we'll ask is for sound clips and installed pictures in return

Not necessarily. Don't forget about the effect of the wind being passed to the rear diffuser and perhaps changing the weight distribution of the car.

They do not yet have the final exhaust weight, however they estimated the whole assembly to be around 30kg.

They don't have wheel HP at the moment.
