Congrats! Hope you got a good deal on it. I'm assuming you are aware it is marked as a lemon on the AutoCheck report? Between that and the questionable cosmetic mods I would be extra careful. An extended warranty may be a good idea with a car like this.

I will be ordering Leatherique. Will not be warm enough here for a bit but I will be ready when the time comes. Also will need to find a good PDR guy as there are a few small blemishes that need to be removed.
The aftermarket exhaust does not have a name on it anywhere that I can see. It sounds good is all stainless and has blue tips like it was heated up hot as hell.
Rims are growing on me.. I thought that they were 19'' but are 20''.
I will be checking the forum but how the hell can you deactivate the seatbelt helpers?? according to history they have already been fixed but do not work now. Also the drivers halo stopped working day 1. called dealer they said no problem it would get fixed. Love this car!!

Yes I did see that it was a buy back car. Has had a ton of stuff replaced.. And I'm sure that there will be more. I feel like I got a good deal, otherwise I would not have purchased it. Not too worried about resale value as this car will be going to my son in a few years. It's a toy not a DD. Cosmetic mods (CF crap can be removed). I like the rear diffuser so it will stay. Front will stay for now.

I'm not being a jerk. I'm dead serious. I'd return that car right now if you can. I happen to live in Wisconsin and I happen to be good friends with people who have been in the auto industry in this state for 15 years and it just so happens to be that Van Horn is notorious among people who know for selling completely dogshit cars. I'm not some random forum kid spouting out of my ass. EDIT: and it so happens that there is a laundry list of things that are way off about this car and red flags - 4 owners at 65k miles, certifiable Lemon, leather in overall terrible condition based on photos, trunk carpet stained, plasti-dipped emblems, goofy steering wheel BMW emblem, shift knob completely worn down at only 65k miles, and the fact that the car sat for basically ever because nobody else wanted it and Van Horn got it for next to nothing at auction and put the sticker price of what a CLEAN 2008 with 65k miles would go for on it.

You got ripped off because that car isn't worth more than 20k. I'm trying to legitimately help you. Just because it's not what you want to hear doesn't mean I'm being a dick.

Gravity doesn't care what you think - it just is. You got ripped off on that car.

Update. Put 10k on it over the Summer. Zero issues so far.
Mostly long distance trips out East. Need a new set of front tires and wife curbed it scuffing up a rim a bit.
Built a sub box with 2 12" type x powered by 2 pdxm12 amps. Really pounds now when I want to. Anyone thinking about adding subs in the trunk should do it. Way easy even without buying harness adapter.
lights were already converted to LED.
The aftermarket exhaust does not have a name on it that I can find but it sounds pretty darn good when you get on it.
Will be time soon to park it for the Winter. Plans for down time include new trunk, front bumper, hood and a set of new shoes.
Im going with 19x10 and 19x11.

True words spoken hear unfortunately, Van Horn is notorious for the reasons mentioned above and then some. Nice ride regardless, I hope it treats you well for a long time.

Thanks. So far so good. Has been a joy to own and drive.
I am surprised at how fast the insides of the front tires wear.

Hi Joe, surprised to see you need new fronts (rather then rear) but with mentioned inside wear I'd say you definitely need an wheel alignment.

Thanks I will get alignment checked in the spring. Damn thing tracks straight as an arrow.. Rear tires were replaced by dealer fronts were ok. They are an off brand I think Nexen? Either way new wheels and tires with an alignment should do it.
Thanks agian
