Review: E93 Vinyl'd chrome trim

Hey guys as 99.99% of everyone reading this know, the chrome/silver trim on the e93's looks ridiculous. That being said I wanted to paint or vinyl the trim. I spoke to a few places and everyone seemed REALLY weary about painting the trim, so I decided to vinyl it. I ended up at Vigg Designs in Freehold.

I chose Vigg based on price, and under recommendation from another member. Also it appears a bunch of e90post guys have had their trim done here, and Vigg's website also shows an e93 that they have done, so that being said I was confident they could do the job.

Things I liked:
-The place was busy which was reassuring.
-The installer Eric was cool
-everyone was nice
-THE PRICE ($150). had quotes from other places ranging from 300-500
-Only took about an hour
-The vinyl is a very close match the matte color of the mirrors
-Looks AMAZING, no bubbles or imperfections.
-5 year warranty

The (minor) things I didn't like:
-A girl working there INSISTED that she drive my car into their garage. I refused and she INSISTED, long story short I ended up driving my own car in.
-They pulled out another customers mustang and parked it with the windows down. Not a big deal... BUT it was raining... it sat that way until he came to pick it up a half hour later. (Had I noticed it before the owner came I would have made mention)
-They marked up the price, I was quoted $120 over the phone, and was required to leave $75 deposit. when I arrived the price jumped to $150.

Am I happy with the result: HELL YEA! (sorry for the iphone pics)

My advice to anyone getting it done:
I would go with the matte vinyl as it closely matches the oem color of the mirrors. I would stay with your car and wait, I get NUTTY about letting anyone drive my car.

Makes the car look so much better. Honestly, if I had an E93, this is the first thing I would do. Looks great

my idea was to buy from www.bmwshadowline.com and have a window tinter do the work.

I wish they were a bit closer to NYC.

Hmmm, Vigg quoted me $100 over the phone. Unfortunately my car has not arrived yet from Germany. Who knows what they will quote by then?....

when they had quoted $120 I told them for ALL the trim, when I arrived the woman on the phone thought I meant just above the doors... then was told $150 if I wanted the section on the trunk done. I dunno.. I do wish they had standard pricing....
