No, but if you ever go TDY or get stationed overseas, then you can order it.

If I know someone in the military can they buy the car and then I buy the car from them? Or I give them the cash and they buy the car and sell the car to me for a $1.00? Just currious.

Do the right thing

You could probably do that however, think about doing the right thing.

I'm currently serving in the Navy for over 20 years and currently in a deployed status fighting democracy for your freedom. It's a nice program that BMW has offered to dipomatic and Military Sales Program for military members deployed overseas who are able to receive discounts between 12-15%.

Military

The program "rules" request that the military member keep the car for a year before selling. That's the intent. Though there may be hardship circumstances where one needs to sell it sooner. BMWAG and BMWNA have no way to enforce that. They can however refuse to sell a car under the program to a peson who has abused the privelege.
Help us out and wait the year. That way it maximizes the likelihood that the program continues. Also your military friend will enjoy driving the car for a year and you will still get a year old BMW for slightly less than market value. We appreciate the program and would hate to see it disappear.
Or if you are interested, I can tell you how to sign up for the miltary. There are other less tangible benefits that come along with the sacrifice.
Cheers.

Actually...the contract that I signed for my 335i (military overseas sales) stated that I had to wait 4 months before selling to a "reseller" or else face a 15% charge on the cost of the car. I /agree with the poster about who talked about the "spirit" and that BMW really has no way to "enforce" the 12 month "guideline"

As for me...I'm looking to get rid of my 335i coupe now that my wife and I are having a 3rd child. I can no longer fit us all in my car.... So I'm either going to go selfish and get a Vette or "be practical" and get a 535i.

military overseas sales

Is that any different than the program at Pentagon or Superior ? The price I mean. The one year provision was just a verbal from my dealer at Pentagon

Why would you abuse this awesome program just to flip a car. That is selfish. I sure wish this program was open to military only. Civilians working for the military already suck up too many benefits. They try to explain it away by telling me it is the same type of service. Newsflash, it isn't anything near the same.

My rep told me that the car will be available with MDKG over the summer to the MSP. He is in Germany, and estimates the price to by, "Right around 50K".

I can't wait!

I'm pretty sure the programs are identical. From what I understand, the military sales program is regulated by BMW, so the price is the same at any of the overseas dealers.

I understand it to be that way as well. It is all about liking the person you are ordering through. I am talking to Pentagon (Mathias), and am being treated with the utmost of respect, and promptness. No complaints so far.

estimated price of the coupe; the screen showed $49,900. It's not official, nor is that news new. I'm displeased that its taking so long to announce a price.

Ciao,

Good for you...some of us can't even get an email hello from our reps. Mine at PentMilSales seems to have gone on a month long holiday...no make that two months. I got a Happy Thanksgiving email and that was it!

Glad to hear at least some of us have a good rep/contact info going.

yes you can

If you take delivery in Europe, you get about 9% off. Contact pentagoncarsales.com for eligibility requirements and prices. Essentially you need to be deployed outside of the U.S. and send a copy of your orders and military I.D.
If you take delivery in Europe you don't pay for shipping, but pay 2.5% import tax upon arrival at the U.S. port which is where you take delivery.
I ordered thru Terry Haverty and he's been great to work with.

P.S. Payment in full is due before the car is built.

Yes for the e92 M3

Pentagon will send you the pricing sheet if you request one. I would attach it here but it is considered confidential even though I know the price is easily available on the net.

Sorry for the delay as I'm deployed.
