iPod/USB Adapter w/o iDrive
There are 2 plugs in the center armrest console, one AUX and one USB...
1) does the iPod connect via USB or do I still need to use the AUX? 2) is there full control of the iPod with this option? 3) if I don't spec the iPod/USB option ($400), does the AUX comes standard? Thanks for helping |

iPod could connect with either the AUX (which is standard) or USB. AUX won't allow any control through the car while the USB might have some control (limited?) without iDrive.

If I have multiple folders where my nusic is sorted (eg. rock, pop, dance, etc), will I be able to select the folder and songs from the steering wheel controls or is the steering wheel controls limited to songs selections within a folder only???
Thanks

yes you can select playlists/albums and everything with the steering wheel controls as long as you buy the twin (aux/usb) cable...

The local dealer tells me to use just the cable that comes with the ipod (USB end) and the AUX plug is no longer needed...
