2009 E92 thoughts on price?

About to pull the trigger, just wanted to see what you all thought of the price:

2009
AW/Fox red
CF roof
Premium
Tech
DCT
Enhanced sound
heated seats
rear PDC
Alarm

Mileage: 32,000

Price: $39k

Condition is clean inside and out from pictures, but going to see the car in person this weekend. The only thing that sort of worries me is that the current owner is the 2nd and only has records of when the vehicle was in his possession. Will be doing a PPI anyway, so I guess it may not be that big of a deal if it passes with flying colors.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I just purchased a 2009 M3 with the same options except mine is black interior.

I paid 40k for 44k miles and full maintenance records knowing that it was a creampuff. All of the cars I looked that were cheaper weren't quite in the condition I was looking for, or wasn't the color\options I wanted.

If the car is clean, passes PPI, and matches all of the options you want, go for it!

Thanks again everyone. In the process of setting up the inspection next week, still undecided on going with the dealer ($160ish but was told they would provide full maintenance history) or $85 from a indy shop with good ratings.

Hopefully all goes well!

I would prefer dealer PPI, but either would work if the Indy is well known and respectable shop. You should ask each shop what they actually check, sometimes they'll give you their checklists.

I would try to take off about $1k off that price btw. But then again, it is CA prices...

Thanks guys for your input!

Picked up the car this past weekend and absolutely love it. The seller was great and kept the vehicle in perfect condition. Exterior was flawless except for one tiny chip on the hood and interior was super clean (he never removed the tape covering the carpets and leather on all seats were like new.

The car also only had 29,400 miles and most of the required maintenance was done. Seller had swapped in an Eisenmann sport exhaust and gave me the oem exhaust, spare tire, oil, and even a battery for the second key fob as it had died!

The only upcoming thing is an oil change, and I have a feeling I have a lot of research to do based on the TWS 10w60 vs Mobil 1 0W40 debate lol

Been wanting an m3 since the e36 days and FINALLY happy to join the club!
