If You could change one thing on your M?

What would it be?

For me, I don't like the boot (trunk) lining which is grey ... I wish it was black. I know it's only a small irrelevant thing, but it was black in my Z4 Coupe, and it just looked better - although having to clean it constantly wasn't the best.

Yeah I was thinking about that to be honest. Would that class as a Mod ...

It'd probably look good on every other colour M including the other 2 'Editions', but on the Dakar it just doesn't work.

I just want a little more space between the seats to store sunglasses, etc. Not a big deal.

Little compartment to the right of the steering wheel (UK) or the left (US) is where I store mine - And no I don't mean the glove box

Change the location if the "home link" buttons AWAY from the rear view mirror. Some cars have them in the vizor and some have them in the center console, but why keep touching the rear view mirror????

Remove the navigation notification when you start up your car, requiring you to hit "Accept". Gets old. S'bout it. 50lbs more low end torque would be nice.

I would change out the stupid passenger seat adjustment button for a manual tilt like the e46.

It's not much fun when a passenger is getting in the back when it's raining and you are reaching across to hold the button in. It seems to take ages.

Then when the passenger gets out, you can't move the seat back with the door shut

I would lessen the clutch travel, and make the 1st to 2nd shift smoother at high RPMs

Gas tank about 2-3 gallons bigger. I'm fine with everything else.

That I could drive it more frequently and more like the way it was intended.

Ventilated seats.

My passenger seat tilts forward with a release on the outside top corner...?

Stop it. I'd like the 4.4 liter motor and a nice exhaust as stock equipment. I'd also like the option of a racer's package that brought some of the GTS goodies in as port installed options.

i'm cheating; i want two!

1) the stereo interface is, and always has been in the Ms, a f'ing joke.

the ipod functionality is laughable.

when it comes to electronic stuff such as this, the japanese are lightyears ahead of the germans.

at least with respect to stereos, bmw should be ashamed of what they're putting into 70k+ auto.

2) the brakes are somewhat underpowered relative to the weight of the car and the HP of the engine

other than that, i absolutely love the E92.

I'd kill for cooled, ventilated seats. My wife has them in her IS350 and they work well in our miserably hot summer climate.
