Insurance
Hi guys,
Got to renew insurance today (can't believe its been a year already). Currently with Admiral (£1k, £600 excess, 31yo, N. London, 6 years NCB, clean license). Just wondered who you're using and if anyone's offering much value on M3 insurance? Thanks in advance |

I was with Admiral last year, and for my reneweal comparethemeerkat came out with Elephant as the cheapest. Phoned Admiral who said Elephant are part of the same company as them and they have an agreement to price match. So I'm still with Admiral.

You must have had fun with Admiral and your mods!
Last year I had quite a lengthy argument with them about "Modifications" or what we'd call "optional extras" which they felt increased the 'risk'. My favourite part was the spotty oik trying to tell me that Bluetooth clearly made my car more desirable to thieves Having said that, I've just seen that Adaptive Headlights (a safety sytem you'd think?) have been listed on my policy as "Rally/Spot lights" and a modification Interesting...thanks, trying that now |

Guys - your quotes are all CHEAP.....i'm due to renew at the end of July and the best I could get (with alloys disclosed as a mod) is £1,700 from admiral with a sensible excess....38 with 14yrs ncb....guess postcodes and job titles all have an impact on the price...anyone got a spare garage?

I've just been looking at insurance as I'll be picking up a 57 plate M5 next week. Currently with Direct Line, but they insist on a tracker. Admiral are £963 via comparethemonkeys dot com
Looks like another Admiral customer ! |

Hi Guys
Just an update on mine, everyone was more expensive than admiral until i got the Elephant quote. Then phoned admiral and they matched it. So Admiral went from £940 which was £220 up on previous year but then dropped it to £741. To be honest I didn't want to give Admiral the business for taking the p*$$ with the renewal but they matched elephant so fair enough |
